Load NoteBookLM with project data

NoteBookLM has been available free of charge at notebooklm.google.com since 2023. Step 1: Open the browser and sign in with the Google account already used for calendar and Drive in the company. Without signing in no new notebook instance can be created. Step 2: Click “New notebook” and give the project a name such as “Customer order Müller 2026”. Skipping this step later prevents clear separation from other topics. Step 3: Drag and drop the file “Offer_Mueller.pdf” from the local folder; the file may be no larger than 200 MB. Without the upload later queries lack any basis. Step 4: Add three further files – “Minutes_2025-11-12.docx”, “Calculation.xlsx” and a plain text file with handwritten notes. The tool currently processes up to 50 sources per notebook. Step 5: Click “Generate notes” and review the automatically created bullet points; delete individual passages manually if required. Without this check the later audio summary often contains redundant sentences. Step 6: Start the “Audio overview” function and listen to the generated podcast track; with four sources it lasts about eight minutes. Step 7: Enter a custom question such as “Which delivery dates are mentioned?” in the chat field and copy the answer. Upload frequently fails when the PDF is password-protected – the error message “File could not be processed” appears and the entire step must be repeated.
